Life is Crazy Good!

I just have to say it out loud. Life is crazy good! This week has ended on a high note, and it is beyond believable! Most people would say a job is a job, and it pays the bills, right? There are days when that is true, but most of the time, blessings pour in because when you do right, it goes right! That may not be every day, but most days, I find myself smiling a lot.

Sharing the blessings is a terrific way to keep the blessing ball in the air. When you have an opportunity to do something good for no reason, and you just do it, it makes it that much sweeter. Expecting nothing in return and getting a genuine hug of peace and warmth makes my heart smile BIG! That phrase came from a preschooler at my daycare center many years ago. I still remember his sweet little face and southern accent as he spoke. Yes, I have lived a richly blessed life!

Some might say, you wear second hand clothes, and live in a little bungalow, how can you be rich? To that, I say, it's the love within the walls and character in the clothes. I enjoy the hunt for nice things, yard sales, fancy estate sales, thrift stores, holiday craft fairs, all bring joy to this gal's life.

I share great stories with my girls about my colorful past, and don't think for a minute that they didn't pick up the thrill of the hunt themselves! When we go on a weekend outing together, we always make thrifting part of our grand adventure. Making memories doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg, it just has to tickle your funny bone and make it into our all-time favorites of best outings ever!

Have we had our share of sadness over the years? Absolutely. We have lost many precious loved ones some way too soon. We do not forget them, not even for a minute, but we remember them with laughter and love. On our outings, we find something that reminds us of them, we tell one of their corny jokes, or remember something they would have said when we are together. They are with us, always, in Spirit and in Our bruised hearts, but we always carry them with us.

So, today, as we celebrate Sunday, let's celebrate Crazy Good! It may be chilly outside, but nothing a cup of hot coffee, hot cocoa or hot tea can't warm up, and put on a little glad music. Whatever makes you smile or sing along. Celebrating sometimes means quiet time in a bubble bath, meditation, or a walk in one of your favorite parks. Sometimes, it's snuggle time with the kiddos or your favorite fur baby!

There were intense moments this past week when prayer was high on my list, and God was definitely part of my mantra all throughout the day. I very seldom had a passing thought that did not include, thank You Lord or please, Lord, or forgive me, Lord. For me, I am blessed because He gets me. He understands my needs, my wants, my frustrations, my fears, all of me, and best of all, He knows my heart, my fragile, broken, mended, and forever His, plain ole beating heart.

From day to day, we may grieve a little, celebrate, cherish, re-live, and experience new feelings. All of which are part of this crazy journey called life. What we make of it is our decisions, our choices, our mistakes to claim, and our victories to celebrate. All lessons to grow from and reasons not to take ourselves too seriously.

We are in constant change every day, our minds, our bodies, our spirits, all of us, we are evolving, growing, becoming...are you a glass half empty or a glass half full kind of person?

Yes, life can be crazy, but ain't it grand when it's good?!? Have yourself a Super Sunday and enjoy what the day gives you! Share a smile, a handshake, and a hug if you have the opportunity. Don't let the day go by without recognizing the goodness around you and in you! Love yourself so you can love others.

Working towards a holistic and alternative healing journey for a while. I am finally ready to embark and immerse myself into that space. I had to fully trust in the path, the timing and God’s will for me. Many times I had manipulated and almost forced the movement, and of course, it failed. It wasn’t until I truly believed in it, in myself, the healing that we all need and deserve, and let it simply unfold, that things started to come together. Here is to this marvelous new journey, you are welcome to come along!
